Global Data Management Standards in the Indian Secondary Care Hospital Context
In the last decade, the field of health informatics has evolved dramatically throughout the word. In India, where hospital facilities have grown rapidly in recent years, manpower and logistics have struggled to keep up with international data standards while keeping up their commitment to care. While organizations such as the Joint Commission International (JCI) and National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) have developed, tested and endorsed performance metrics, aimed at standardizing care, it has yet to be seen if this top-down approach will be cost-effective for smaller, secondary care hospitals in the Indian healthcare context.
The aim of this project is twofold:
To accomplish this, our project team is working with Be Well Hospitals, a secondary hospital system in India. Our team is also partnered with Quantiphi, an analytics company that specializes in health data and provides technical guidance, and Aspada Investments, an Indian investment company that funds Be Well Hospitals. |
